As a result of the Presidential Major Disaster Declaration for Texas issued March 25, 2020, all Texans should now be able to call the Texas Department of Health and Human Services' Disaster Distress Helpline at 800-985-5900 and receive immediate, free, and confidential counseling 24/7. They also have the option to reach the Helpline by texting TalkWithUs to 66746. If someone needs further assistance, the Helpline can provide them with referrals and other support services. Each county has a local mental health authority assigned to it that has a crisis hotline also. You can find your county's info here:

Outreach services for TV


The collections of the Richland Hills Public Library are available to you through Homebound Services, a free, fast and convenient way for homebound patrons to borrow library materials.

The service is available to anyone who is unable to get to a library because of age or disability.

A phone call, email, or letter will bring a fresh supply of library materials to your doorstep within a week!

You can order a variety of material including books, magazines, music CD’s, DVD’s, and books-on-CD. Most library items are loaned for a three-week period.
