Applications (PDF) are now open for the City of Richland Hills' 75th Anniversary Committee. Applications must be submitted no later than Friday, September 22. Applications can be submitted to the City Secretary via email or in-person. City Council will consider all applications and appoint committee members during the September 25 City Council meeting.
Purpose
The 75th Anniversary Committee is an ad hoc volunteer committee appointed to work with City staff in planning and implementing programs and events that showcase Richland Hills’ 75th Anniversary.
The committee will aim to engage the entire Richland Hills community, including residents, businesses, community groups and organizations, in the year-long celebration. The committee will help identify individuals and organizations that would be willing to organize, lead and champion anniversary programs and events.
Committee Makeup
The Committee will consist of 6 to 8 members that are either Richland Hills residents or business owners. We are looking for individuals that have a particular interest in research, history, marketing, fundraising, event planning and volunteer coordination.
Appointee Commitment
The appointee commitment is two years beginning September 2023 and concluding in September 2025 with the 75th Anniversary Celebration. The committee will meet once a month during the two-year period, with more frequent meetings as needed.
