The Red Light Photo Enforcement Program allows for the positioning of red light cameras at busy, dangerous intersections located within Richland Hills.  These locations are as follows:

  • Glenview Dr. and Booth Callaway Rd.
  • Baker Blvd. at Vance Rd.
  • Baker Blvd. at Handley Ederville Rd.

Nationally, more than 50% of all reported crashes and 22% of all injury crashes occur in an intersection.  The majority of red light violations that result in crashes involve right-angle impacts, which tend to be the most severe of collisions. The City of Richland Hills has deemed red light running, and the associated crashes, to be a threat to public safety. It is believed the Red Light Photo Enforcement Program will reduce the incidents of red light violations, thereby reducing the number of red light crashes and injuries associated with such crashes.

The program is managed by Redflex Traffic Systems.  Questions reference payment of citations and the appeal process should be directed to their offices.  Payments for the citations are not made at the Richland Hills Police Department but 3 blocks east of the department at Redflex Traffic Systems Photo Enforcement at 7018 Baker Blvd Richland Hills, TX 76118.
