The City of Richland Hills has two outdoor warning sirens in place across the city to alert residents and visitors who are outside of impending inclement weather or other emergency situations. These sirens are not intended to alert a person inside a home or business of an approaching emergency situation.
Our outdoor warnings sirens are located at the following locations:
- Popplewell Dr. @ Booth Pl.
- Park Place @ Spruce Park
The Outdoor Warning Sirens (OWS) are tested monthly on the first Wednesday of the month at 1pm.
It is imperative that all residents and visitors stay aware of approaching severe weather conditions and utilize local media and social media as well as phone and computer applications to stay alert. The OWS is older technology and was never intended to alert those who are indoors.
