Where do I go to get an accident or offense report?

Police reports are available for purchase at the Richland Hills Police Department, Mon-Fri, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the front lobby, 6700 Baker Boulevard. (Accident reports = $6.00, offense reports and information reports = $4.00)

How do I report a crime?

If it is an emergency, call 911. For non-emergency service, please call (817) 595-6612.

Where do I renew my driver license?

Do I need an alarm permit?

At the present time, the City of Richland Hills does not require a permit for residential or business alarms.

Can I get fingerprinted (without being arrested)?

Fingerprinting is available at the Richland Hills Police Department Mon-Fri, 8:00a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There is a $5.00 fee and you must provide a valid photo identification. You must provide your own fingerprint card. We Do Not take fingerprints for immigration.

How do I get my car out of the impound lot?

You must bring proof of ownership to the Richland Hills Police Department, 6700 Baker Boulevard, to obtain a release authorization. You must then present the release authorization to the auto pound clerk and pay any fees. If you need to remove items from your vehicle but do not want to take the vehicle you must show proof of ownership and obtain an authorization from the Richland Hills Police Department to do so.

How do I take care of a ticket?

The Municipal Court, located inside the Richland Hills City Hall building, will handle any type of process pertaining to Citations issued by Richland Hills Police Officers.

The Citizen Police Academy

The Citizen Police Academy (CPA) is a thirteen (13) week program that meets once a week on Thursday from 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. The program is designed to provide the public with a basic understanding of the criminal justice system and how the Richland Hills Police Department serves the community. The instruction is comprehensive and each week separate service areas of the department are covered using a series of lectures and hands-on activities.
