The Richland Hills Public Library houses a collection of over 40,000 books, magazines, CDs, audio books, and videos.

Programs are offered by the staff of the Library and the Library Advisory Board, which include book reviews, adult, and children story telling, and musical programs.

Author Candace Havens Will Visit Richland Hills Public Library on May 17th at 2 p.m.

Bestselling author Candace Havens has written five novels, “Charmed & Dangerous,” “Charmed & Ready,” “Charmed & Deadly” and the upcoming releases “Like A Charm” (Feb. 2008) and “The Demon King and I” (Nov. 2008). Her books have received nominations for the RITA’s, Holt Medallion and Write Touch Reader Awards. She is the author of the biography “Joss Whedon: The Genius Behind Buffy” and a contributor to several anthologies. She is also one of the nation’s leading entertainment journalists and has interviewed countless celebrities including Tom Hanks, Nicolas Cage, Tom Cruise, George Clooney and many more. Her entertainment columns can be read in more than 300 newspapers across the country. Candace also runs a free online writing workshop for more than 900 writers. She does film reviews with the Dorsey Gang on The Big 96.3, and serves as a mentor for young writers.

Tax return trained preparers will be at the Richland Hills Public Library on Wednesdays from 12 noon to 4 p.m. beginning Feb. 6 through Apr. 9.
