Subject: DBE Requirements For SRTS Infrastructure Project
Attached, is correspondence from the TxDOT Office of Civil Rights requesting the City Richland Hills to approve the attached Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) by ordinance or resolution for their Disadvantage Business Enterprise (DBE) Program. Federal law mandates that all federal grant recipients ( the SRTS program is federally funded) are required to be registered with TxDOT under their DBE Program. Currently, Richland Hills is not registered in TxDOT’s DBE Program and, therefore, will have to approve the attached MOU in order to be reimbursed any funds for the SRTS Project.
Therefore, please place on the council’s June 14, 2011 agenda to approve attached MOU by ordinance/resolution for TxDOT’s DBE Program. If you have any questions please contact me.
