Subject: Oncor Rate Case - Settlement Documents CITY ACTION REQUIRED BY
JUNE 17 ddfd
Steering
Committee of Cities Served by Oncor – CITY ACTION LEGALLY REQUIRED BY JUNE
17.
Earlier today, Oncor filed on behalf of the parties in PUC Docket No. 38929 an unopposed
joint motion to admit the settlement, supporting testimony and request for PUC
approval. Accordingly, I am providing you with documents your city will
need in order to approve the settlement. If you have not done so, we ask
that you put this matter on your next council agenda. Cities have until
June 17 to finalize their adoption of the attached ordinance and tariffs.
Attached you will find the following
documents:
(1)
a
cover memo,
(2)
model
staff report,
(3)
model
rate ordinance,
(4)
PUC
38929 final stipulation,
(5)
participating
cities list,
(6)
residential
increase (calculation for both 1,000 and 1,300 kWh for residential using
January 1, 2012 rates) (excel file), and
(7)
copy
of cities’ franchise fee payments (calculation with interest) (excel file).
In
addition, I will be sending you an email in the morning containing links to two
tariffs. Be
aware that there will be two versions (one for rates effective July 1 and one
for rates effective January 1). They are 179 pages each. They will
both need to be approved. Because of the large size, we will be
distributing them to you via a large file transfer email. As such, you
will need to click on the link that we send to you and print them. If
this presents a problem, please contact us and we will make special
arrangements.
Several
cities that participated in the coalition do not have original jurisdiction and
are not legally required to take action on this application. Here is a
list of those coalition cities that do not have original jurisdiction:
Alvarado, Anna, Argyle, Boyd, Buffalo, Caddo Mills, Cameron, Canton,
Centerville, Collinsville, Comanche, Corinth, Crowley, Edgecliff Village,
Everman, Frost, Granger, Gunter, Hewitt, Honey Grove, Hutto, Jolly, Josephine,
Justin, Kaufman, Kemp, Kerens, Krum, Malakoff, Murchison, Nacogdoches, New
Chapel Hill, Northlake, Oak Leaf, Ovilla, Ranger, Rhome, Richland, Rosser,
Springtown, Terrell, Venus. If any of these cities are interested in
adopting a resolution that affirms the settlement, please contact me and I will
prepare a resolution for your city to use.
In
addition, six cities in the coalition (Coahoma, DeLeon, Early, Howe, Little
River Academy, O’Donnell) retain original jurisdiction but previously denied
the application. These cities also should not adopt the ordinance but may
desire to adopt a resolution affirming the settlement. Please contact me
if your city would like to affirm the settlement.
Finally,
according to our records, several members of the Steering Committee that retain
original jurisdiction did not provide us with suspension resolutions. We
are unsure what actions these cities took. Please contact me if you have
questions. Here are the cities that we have no record of: Bellmead,
Commerce, Fate, Forest Hill, Grand Prairie, Grapevine, McKinney, Pantego,
Robinson, Seagoville, Southlake, Sunnyvale, Willow Park.
I
realize that this is a lot of information and material. I’m here to
help. Please contact me if you have questions or concerns. My
direct number is (512) 322-5857. Thomas
