Administrative Comments: At its Tuesday, January 25, 2011 workshop, Council determined that an ad hoc committee of citizens, elected officials and staff should be created to review advisory board ordinances. At its Tuesday, February 8, 2011 Regular Meeting, Council appointed Council Members Davis and Head and staff members Cantu, Shaffstall and Childress as members of the ad hoc committee. The committee’s review has been completed and its recommendations are being presented to the City Council for approval. Staff Recommendation: Consider approving the proposed Ad Hoc Committees recommended changes to Boards, Commissions and Committees, and direct City Attorney to prepare ordinances to reflect changes.
