Subject: FW: Halff's Proposal for Metroplex Baptist Church
On Friday, April 29, 2011, Matt and myself met with Haff & Associates and a developer who is pursuing the development of the property located at 7060 Hwy. 26 locally know as the Metroplex Baptist Church (MBC). This property is located at the beginning of BFC Stream – 5 Watershed. The developer is interested removing the MBC, re-plat the property into two blocks, and construct a building on each lot. In order to build on this property a model of the stream will have to performed to determine the minimum drainage facilities required to build on the property.
After much discussion with all parties and in order to meet the developers time table, it was agreed that Halff & Associates would develop a proposal to determine the minimum drainage requirements. The proposal is scheduled to be due within 45 days from May 11, 2011 or Friday, June 24, 2011.
As you are aware, the modeling for this section of BFC - 5 was not anticipated for a few more years but it would be advantageous for the city to determine what improvements may constructed at this time.
Attached, is Halff’s proposal detailing the limits of the model and suggested construction alternatives for the described location. The total cost of the proposal is $19,340.00.00. Therefore, please place on the council’s agenda for May 10, 2011 to discuss and/or approve Halff’s proposal. Please contact me if you have any questions.
