Attached, are the plans, specifications and estimated cost for the Baker Blvd. Detention Pond. The original construction estimate in 2009 was $456,464.00 with contingency. The attached construction estimate is $496,970.00 without contingency. This is a very appealing project to area contractors and staff anticipates the cost will be lower than the engineers estimate. No time period for construction will be included in the specifications. The contractors will set their own time period. Halff and Associates will be at the meeting to answer any detailed questions concerning the plans or specifications. A projected time line for bidding this project is as follows:
1. Plans and Specs. Approved by council April 12, 2011
2. 1st Advertisement April 20, 2011
3. 2nd Advertisement April 27, 2011
4. Pre-bid Construction Meeting May 4, 2011
5. Bid Opening May 11, 2011
6. Bid Award May 24, 2011
7. Start Construction (staff’s estimate) June 20, 2011
